Submit Your VR Photography
Welcome to our VR photography submission portal. This is where members can submit their immersive 360° photographs for consideration in our monthly competitions. Before submitting, please ensure your images meet our technical requirements outlined in the Rules section. We accept equirectangular projections in JPEG or PNG format with a minimum resolution of 4000x2000 pixels. Each submission should represent your best work and demonstrate technical proficiency in VR capture and post-processing. The submission process requires you to provide essential metadata about your VR photo, including the equipment used, capture settings, location information, and any special techniques employed. This information helps our community learn from each other's approaches and provides context for voters during the competition phase.
When preparing your VR photo for submission, pay special attention to stitching quality, nadir/zenith treatment, and overall image consistency. Unlike traditional photography where you can crop to hide flaws, VR images reveal everything in the captured sphere. Check for stitching errors, particularly in areas with fine details like foliage or architectural elements. Ensure your image works well both in VR headsets and on desktop panoramic viewers. Consider adding descriptive metadata that enhances the viewer's understanding of your creative intent and technical approach. Remember that submissions are automatically entered into the current month's competition unless otherwise specified. You may submit up to three images per month across different categories, but each image must be submitted separately with its own complete information set.
